The ‘Aerial Assassin’ headlined the inaugural RIPTIDE event ‘Beers Bands Wrestling’,taking on Shane Strickland in an outstanding highflying contest.

While Strickland came out on top that night, Ospreay had won the hearts of the Brighton audience, and had helped set the bar for the athleticism and entertainment that RIPTIDE would bring on a regular basis.

While his New Japan Pro Wrestling commitments mean it’s a rare treat to see him, Ospreay returned to Brighton alongside Paul Robinson as the Swords of Essex at RIPTIDE: The Storm, but the tandem sufffered a shock defeat at the hands of the South Coast Connection (Ashley Dunn and Kelly Sixx).

As one of the most celebrated high-flying wrestlers in the world (some would say the very best), Ospreay will no doubt be hoping to improve his RIPTIDE win-loss record somewhere down the line.
